Adam Nguyen

Adam graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University, where he also completed the Pre-Medical Studies program and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He then earned a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, where he served as a student attorney with the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, an Articles Editor of the Harvard Journal on Law and Technology and a Line Editor of the Harvard Journal on Legislation. Adam clerked for the Honorable Faith S. Hochberg of the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, and worked at the law firms of Shearman & Sterling LLP and Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP. His varied professional experience also includes work on a presidential campaign and at investment management firms, government agencies and non-profit organizations.

Adam and his family immigrated to the U.S. as political refugees when he was ten years old and settled in Houston, Texas, where he attended public schools. Based on his upbringing, and education and professional experience, Adam firmly believes that education is a socio-economic "equalizer" and the primary road to achieving "the American dream". He also believes that essential to success are knowledge of and access to pertinent information, people and opportunities.

Adam has worked with applicants and students at various levels in test preparation, admissions counseling and academic coaching. During his time at Harvard Law School, he served as a Pre-Law Tutor, advising students applying to law schools. While at Columbia, he served as a student reader of applications in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Additionally, he has mentored and tutored students in various subjects and standardized tests through non-profit organizations like Columbia's Double Discovery Center and New York Cares.
