SAT, ACT & Subject Tests Workshop for Parents

This workshop is designed specifically for parents of 9th to 11th graders. Cory Bragar, Ivy Link’s Director of Standardized Testing and an alumna of Harvard Law School, Trinity College and The Dalton School, will provide the most current information on the SAT, ACT and Subject Tests and address issues such as which tests students should take, when and how many times to take them, how the tests are scored, and the impact of Score Choice and super scoring.

ISEE & SSAT Workshop for Parents

This workshop is designed for parents of primarily 4th to 10th graders who are applying to private schools. Adam Nguyen, Founder & CEO of Ivy Link, will provide parents with current information on the ISEE and SSAT and address important issues such as which tests students should take, when to take them, what topics are tested, and how the tests are scored. By understanding the process in advance, parents can help their children plan, prepare for the exams and reduce their stress.

Amid the uproar over Amy Chua’s Wall Street Journal essay, titled “Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior,” Adam Nguyen, Ivy Link’s Founder & CEO, published a response to Chua’s “tiger mom” parenting style in a Daily Caller article titled “Are Chinese Mothers Superior?”

Nguyen was also quoted in the legal blog AboveTheLaw.com: I agree with the idea of hard work and persistence — and that’s what I always preach to my students and parents. But I wonder about her [Chua's] definition of education and success….
