Complete in THREE days the application process that typically stretches across months, and leave with a finished common application months before your peers have even started.
- Compelling Essays. Our students work one-on-one and in small groups to prepare compelling personal statements and responses to supplemental questions for specific colleges of their choice. By learning Ivy Link’s strategies, students avoid common pitfalls, while brainstorming topics and crafting essays that present the best aspects of the students. - Impressionable Activity Sheet. Our experts help students to prepare the activity sheet to include awards, achievements, extracurricular endeavors, summer and volunteer activities, and work and internship experiences. Our students learn to organize and present information in order to stand-out from the crowd. - Interview Training. Our mock interviews help reduce students’ stress by familiarizing them with potential questions and instructing them in the techniques for effective responses. - Fine-Tuned College List. Our experts help students fine-tune their college lists to best match their credentials, interests and aspirations. - Application Strategies. Our experts work with students individually to review their odds at gaining admissions to selective colleges given their test scores and grades. - Standardized Testing Strategies. Our experts review students’ histories of standardized test scores and advise them on whether to retest. - Effective Letters of Recommendation. Our students learn strategies for obtaining effective letters of recommendation, as well as the types of letters to avoid. - Completed Common Application. Our students will leave with all the necessary components to complete the Common Application.

The 1-2-3 Application Workshops are for current juniors (rising seniors summer 2012). This workshop is designed specifically for parents of 9th to 11th graders. Cory Bragar, Ivy Link’s Director of Standardized Testing, will provide the most current information on the SAT, ACT and Subject Tests and address issues such as which tests students should take, when and how many times to take them, how the tests are scored, and the impact of Score Choice and super scoring.
