Applications for the Fall 2011 freshmen class increased at most selective colleges. Notably, Columbia and Michigan witnessed a jump of 32% and 18%, respectively, from 2010 to 2011 — likely due to the schools’ decision to adopt the Common Application.
We see also double-digit increases at Darmouth (17.9%), Duke (10.4%), Harvard (14.8%), Northwestern (12%), NYU(11%), Tufts (10.8%), UChicago (11.9%), UPenn (17.5%), Vanderbilt (13%), Wash U. (15.5%).
