Penn Early Admissions Results for the Class of 2027

Penn has announced their Early Admissions results. This year, Penn received over 8,000 applications, a record for the university in their Early Decision round. They have not released the detailed numbers of students admitted yet.

For the Class of 2026, Penn received 7,795 Early Decision applications. Of that pool, they admitted 1,218, or 15.63% of applicants.

In related news, the Class of 2027 is the first incoming class of Early Decision students to pay no enrollment fee. Typically, the university requires a $400 enrollment fee due when a student receives their acceptance. However, this year, students will pay no fee until their bill arrives for the first semester. For many, this is a welcome change. In a statement to The Daily Pennsylvanian, Dean of Admissions Whitney Soule wrote, "We eliminated the deposit so that every student we admit to Penn has the same experience. We want them to be free to celebrate and accept their spot without any pause or roadblock of financial anxiety."

Check back for updates as more admissions information is released.
